Instead of giving out presents this year most of you will be receiving lovely handmade gifts. I decided it was high time that I took my chocolate snobbery and started making truffles to my standards. Not sure if I'm quite to the levels I imagined, but its a process. Next year will be even better. I do have some cocoa beans in the pantry that have been begging for experimentation. My body made the executive decision (over the wishes of my uber-ambitious brain) that this was not the year to start roasting and extracting my own cocoa. 2004, The Year of the Cocoa Bean, lies ahead.
