First of all, a lovely dinner with sparkling company.
Second, I received another baked goods emergency phone call. I am, apparently, running a hotline. In this case, a chocolate cake with berry custard filling, cocoa buttercream frosting, and wrapped in fondant.
I made the gathers to match the bride's dress.
Then we used edible gold to paint on the other tiers' bands.
Making some adjustments:
Finally, another gathered cylinder to balance out the tiers (the paper cup is helping the fondant keep its shape while it sets.) The wells between the bands and the top will be filled with fresh raspberries.
I didn't have to set it up at the wedding, so I don't have final pictures, yet. Will post when I do.
