Snips & Snails it IS!

Excellent--since we have the capital investment in puppy dog tail stuff.
"Are you SURE?" I asked the tech. She circled the breech bum again and said "YES."
I didn't tell her, "Because my friend Susie was told boy number two and it came out a GIRL."
It's a little disorienting because we have a girl name, but no boy name.
Next Topic:
What on earth are we going to name him? We honestly have no idea.
(Well, I had an idea: Proximo or Segundo but J says, "NO.")
Your idea? No parameters to speak of, go!

I've always loved the name Zeke, and dreamed of naming my firstborn Zeke -short for Zachary, I guess.

But then my boyfriend was like, "Hellooo, Zeke the Geek?"

And the dream was shattered. I love "dorky" names, like Miles. But I'm sure that's just me being pretentious.

Congrats on boy #2 - sounds very familiar! I think it's good to have a few choices, just to mix it up a abit. Today our's is Crew. Tomorrow it will be Trey again. Then Crew, then Trey, then Crew, then Trey. But he could come out looking like an Austin. Sigh...

If I remember the last time you had the name for boy # 1 picked out and you had to wait until you were in labor to convince J that that is what his name was... So if J veto’s any names this time maybe history may repeat itself! Congratulations on Boy #2... I love having my two little guys, much easier than the girl!

Hmmm. I saw an episode of "Bringing Home Baby" today, and the boy was named Cassius. Unique? Yes. But what are the kids going to call him in grade school? Cassie? My hubby's name is Phillip, and he got all kinds of things like Phillips 66, Flip, PhildoDildo, etc. Make sure you look at all possible nicknames, good and bad.

I'll have to ask my sis about the best/worst names she's seen at work.

Ike.

I love Ike. Norah would have been Ike (well, she would have if we had actually not known she was a girl...)

Or Oz. :-)

Congrats on the wee man.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Then there IS a chance that I might NOT get The Nephew #2 (even though that would be fabulous).....and I could get THE NIECE instead?

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Unless you are joking and that didn't really happen to your friend.

Then that would be really sad. And, so would I.

Willy and his brother Gilly.

NO (because they're over-used)...
Austin
Jayden (or variation thereof)
Jack or Jackson
Joshua or Jacob

YES...
Crue
Asher
Seth
Harley
Charles

Please, with all that is holy, do NOT funk up the spelling to be different because that's just stupid and mean (SanDee, Lohra).

We're hoping we can fit in an apostrophe into the name somehow...

Yes, Noelle, my friend found out I think a month before she had the baby that it was a girl, not a boy.

No help with names. We have Luke and Zack and sometimes you can't tell which is which.

But there is something so cool about watching two boys grow up side by side. Sometimes they drive each other crazy (did you ever see my post with the split image of their rooms right next to each other? One is immaculate and the other is a slob). But most of the time they had a great time entertaining one another.

I will warn you, however, that synergy principle is magnificent when it comes to boys and the power of destruction...

Congrats!

Since it seems that we will never have a boy, here are some of our choices over the years. . .

Trenton
Connick (for our fave Harry Connick, Jr.)
Drake

I had a good friend at the BYU named Kenton, I love that name too.

or how about Maximilian (Latin for Great!!), you could call him Max, or Mac.

How about "Night Train Lane Ray"? Rob met one of those on his mission.

That's kind of nice that you don't have to go shopping for all pink stuff this time around. I've always been fond of every boy name that started with a "J" like John, Joshua, Jared, James... there are no exceptions.

But it's always nice to just look through your family history books and find a great great uncle with some kick bootie heritage name.

Good luck!

What ever you name him I think he needs a Spanish name in there somewhere to honor both cultures. Like you did with guille. All of our children have fijian names...now if the kids would only speak fijian...the hubby only speaks Fijian to the kids and my 4 year old keeps tell him to stop speaking Spanish!

I thought we had this decided! Crucificio "Scooter."
Or Jerome Bon Jovi.

AzĂșcar said...

Crucificio, that's the middle. We're looking for a first name now.

Nick LaShay (yes, I saw this recently...the mother tried to convince us this baby was why "baby daddy" and Jessica Simpson split up....she was just 2 fries too short to get the spelling right!)

How about J'Fed Crucificio?
