Out Sick

Remember how you always think to yourself, "I wish I was sick, then I could take a day off!"

And then when you get sick you always think to yourself, "This is the worst I've ever felt in my entire life. How could I ever think that being sick was going to be a 'day off'?"

Yeah, me too.

It's brilliant. Chocolate Pero.

Yeah, I love how, when the dude who leaves for work every morning gets sick, he stays home in bed and we all stay away so he can sleep, but when the one who wears the metaphorical pants gets sick, nothing. Business as usual.

My word verification: szsiokao
Translation: sicko

So sorry you're sick. And I know what you mean. What I really hate is wasting perffectly good PTO while being home knocked out on the sofa when you'd rather be out having fun.

May I recommend Levaquin? ($20/pill--with insurance). I have no idea what you have, but I'm pretty sure this kills just about everything.

Feel better soon!

A couple weeks ago, I was very glad that I didn't have to go to work, however, I was at death's door. That last part totes sucks. So I'm sorry you are feeling yucky.

Also, I STILL can't find Pero ANYWHERE!

i remember when i had my first baby and the realization hit me that NEVER again would i have a day off. EVER. this realization was closely followed by the ephiphanal (word? i know not.) "wow! i love her so much!" but still, no day off.

i'm sorry you're sick. i hope you're better.

Well that's no fun at all! I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well. But you did a fantastic job on Sunday. :) Get better and I mean it!

only husbands get to truly be sick in bed.
I have a surgery coming up that will allow me to imbibe on 'scrip drugs and a night away from home for 'observation'. They all ask me if I am scared....uhhhhh NO, I'm considering it a vacation!!!

Clistyb--good luck on your surgery. I know, if it weren't for the crappy TV, a hospital is a great vacation. I mean think about it, your own bathroom, no sharing.

Doodle- Thanks honey!

Brooke- it's true, 9-5 is but a dream.

Kiki- it's a mixed blessing/mixed curse.

CW- I hate wasting PTO.

S.H.K - The dudes can't handle being sick.

Not again! I'm so sorry. "Do It Myself Club" made me laugh; I've got a card-carrying member in my household, too.

Hope you feel better soon. Really soon.

There is nothing worse than being sick when my husband can't be home to help.

Hope you're feeling better.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one wishing for sickness so I can get a break.
