Apron Swap

When I signed up for A Feathered Nest's spring Apron Swap, I was so excited to send my apron off to New Zealand. Imagine my surprise when one day I came home to a package from a different new friend in New Zealand. I'm overrun with kiwis!

I am absolutely delighted with my apron, aren't you?

Dear Floss had no idea that the citrus flavor of her apron absolutely matches my kitchen! See, it's even the same colors as my tablecloth. On a technical level, the apron is beautifully sewn: perfect stitches, lovely pintucks, double-sided ties, I couldn't be happier. Tucked into the package were the little recipe book, and green and yellow spatulas, all tied with a bow and decoupaged box. I may have to throw everything out of my kitchen that doesn't match.

A little removable pin? It's too delicious to wear.

And then, to top it off, she sent along a vintage apron she spotted in a shop that matched my blog colors. "I'm not sure if you're into that sort of thing or not," Floss wrote in her card.

Yes, why yes I am.

Thank you Floss! I love it!

Hey Carina, I'm so glad you like everything. I don't join in many swaps but I loved the idea of this one. The apron started off red and white and Dutch (don't ask LOL) and surprised even me when it morphed into citrus colours. My daughter made to box your pin came in, we just didn't want it getting squashed.

Floss has really out done herself this time. A vintage apron that matches your blog?

Keep changing your blog colors, Zuc. Maybe you'll get more vintage aprons from Miss Floss.

I am very jealous of what is happening with these aprons. I need to be more talented.
