Nie Garlands

In honor of my friend, Stephanie Nielson, today is NieNie Day all over blogworld. I decided that I would make some paper decorations for her room: one, Stephanie loves paper crafts, and two, fresh flowers aren’t allowed in the burn center. So here are a few pictures of the paper flower garlands I’m sending off to Christian’s sister.

Hundreds of people are offering items for auction to benefit Stephanie and Christian, here are just a few options up for bid TODAY in case you’re interested:

Cake, from one of the very few I'd trust to make a cake.
and the Jolly Porter promises to make you famous.

If none of those tickle your fancy, check your pulse, and then check out the exhaustive list (including hotel stays, sports tickets, stationary, children's gear and clothing) at Design Mom's site.

As for me, I’m making something for a Nie benefit auction next month (and so can you.)

Those garlands are amazing; my but you're a crafty one. So pretty. And thanks for that links list since some of those items are not on DesignMom's exhaustive list.

How perfect! How do you make those? Gorgeous!

I'm with you on next month. I was feeling pretty crappy because I have like zero money right now and I wanted to participate today. This makes me feel better.

You definitely need to auction some of those garlands, as well as show us how to make them!!!

Me too, I want some of those... (seriously, I was trying to make something like this for my daughters baptism this weekend...would you share directions if I SWEAR to buy more later?)

I love those, they are so, so you.

P.S. I didn't get much girl time in Utah this trip--it was family, family, camping, family...blah, blah. We will be back in October and we need to eat somewhere fabulous...

Oof. Those are going to be gorgeous in Nie's room.

Please tell me you are auctioning those for the benefit auction.

I think Nie Nie Day is my new favorite day of the year.

Exquisite! Absolutely Nie-worthy. It's been so thrilling to skip around the blogosphere and see all the treasures people are offering. So much love.

The people have spoken...either sell it or tell us how to do it.... we all need a little bit of that in our homes/lives...

I will tell you how.

However, I have to think of the easiest way because a lot of pictures are involved. Would a blog post be too long? Should I send it by email or a file sharing service? etc., etc.

Let me noodle on it.

I love the garland! You are amazingly gifted. What a great idea.

Maybe a link on your sidebar, where it won't be swallowed up with more posting, and won't take up too much space?

Those are really beautiful, Azucar. I'm sure a lot of love went into that. And I'm sure you are being an excellent helper to CJane, being the expert mommy that you are!
