Nov 5 Gear

Today was supposed to be very cold. I wore my favorite straight leg jeans (which are on their last threads) because they are tailored for the flats I still have to wear. The white tee is from Shade (I love their stuff.) The rust, cream, and red marled large knit A-line cut sweater is Anthropologie (I got it for a song on clearance.) The sweater is very warm despite having a scoop neck. Technically, I need to be careful with larger items on top (I'm an apple) and chunky knits are a very bad idea. However, I love the cut of this sweater, and while it appears chunky, it's not actually that thick. If it were to have a high neck, or a turtleneck, that would be the kiss of death, but the scoop is quite lovely. The awesome turquoise necklace is from a local jewelry designer who makes drool-worthy pieces at unbelievably affordable prices. And NO, you can't have her name, she's all mine for a little bit longer.

Anyway, it's always a risk wearing a big sweater with a shirt under you don't think anyone will see.

I lost.

The sweater was perfect for outside, but inside it was very hot. Ugh. I couldn't take off the thing because the shirt under was way too tight ahem. So I suffered with the mini-sweats all day. I hate wardrobe regrets.

You should be my fashion consultant. I've gone all frumpy since having a baby and most days I'm lucky if I wipe the snot off my shirt. I keep waiting (read hoping) that I get stopped by those crazy nuts from What Not To Wear. I'd be all, "What, slippers and disco queen pajamas are not okay to wear out? WHY NOT!!" Then I'd cry and be all dramatic when they made me throw them out. I'd say "NO!!! NOT MY GRANDPA SWEATS I BOUGHT AT SAVERS!!" and then I'd sneak them out of the bin when I thought the cameras were off.

My point is: you have cute clothes.

Even if you felt like you were having a hot flash, you looked fabulous!

You need to pretend work is preschool and leave a spare shirt in your cubby just in case. Also some fruit snacks.

At first glance I thought you were wearing a big puffy white shirt with an orange knit vest.

The rust, cream, and red marled large knit A-line cut sweater

say that ten times fast.

you are a fashion whiz.

I also thought puffy white shirt at first glance. Maybe pirate is in? I don't know... not up on it all.

I thought the exact same thing (vested pirate), and was really excited about it.

I hate food regrets more. For example, going to a restaurant and ordering at the last minute between two or three dishes and then when you get your decided dish it isn't very good. I hate that soooo much.

Story of my LIFE lately. The hormonees (I'm going to use that excuse for-ever). I get hot sweats throughout the day no matter what I wear.

And have I told you that I've been on the search for a good turquoise necklace? I'm a white t-shirt and jeans kind of girl and the turquoise is necessary. Plus it's my birthday in 10 days. 10 DAYS!

You are so good at the whole dressing yourself thing. Maybe you should start a wardrobe assembly business. I would be your first customer.
