Something Cleverish

Look! I am a published author!

Sure, this isn't the first book that I've been involved in, but it involves the best motives (unlike my last books which were publish for self-aggrandizement, and also grades.)

Forty-two of my closest friends and I have each donated an essay for the book Something Cleverish, from which all proceeds will benefit the Stephanie and Christian Nielson Recovery Fund.

So go buy it. Consumerism and selfless giving, what could be better!?

(And don't say a fur coat because this isn't a negotiation.)

See, I knew we were the closest of friends. Too bad it took you being published WITH ME to realize it. What a friend...

Look, I'm not quick on the uptake.

Hey, did you guys hear that Coldplay released a new album?

In addition to being anxious to read the book, I am also honored to be considered among your 42 closest friends. Because you are the Kevin Bacon that keeps the blogworld together, so I know being among your inner 42 is no small thing.

OK, I get that the book is published, so I can't be 42 of the closest, but how do I get in the inner circle? C'mon guys...I'll wear the right clothes and shoes and everything, I promise!

I just thought I would make your day by letting you know that Lipstick Jungle has NOT been cancelled!

Dear Melissa,

Don't tell anyone else, but you're in.

I guess the cool table isn't cuttin' it these days... we have to be in the inner circle of coolio published writers.

Does this little blogger book have a theme? Cleverish about what exactly???? Is this a coffee, I mean hot chocolate-table type book or a cozy up on an afternoon by yourself book??

We all wrote essays with only one direction: be funny. Think of this as the book you can pick up and put down easily. Read one essay, read twelve; it's a collection not an novel.
