Things I Don't Get: Two and a Half Men

This is the number one comedy on TV?

But it's not funny.

I've laughed more at episodes of Law and Order: SVU.

I don't get it.

Seriously. WHO is watching this show? I have never met one person who likes it, ever.

Oh my goodness. I LOVE this show. Not.

I so agree. I think it is such a gross, dirty, cheesy show, and I think it's sick how there are so many sex jokes in front of the little boy.

Totally baffling... no entiendo.

...REAL funny shows: MODERN FAMILY, The Office, 30 Rock, Community... must I go on?

I've never even watched it and I hate it. On principle, I supposed.

THANK YOU!

This show is HORRIBLE, everyone keeps on talking about Modern Family...is that one to try?

I don't get it either. I also don't get why it's on almost as much as all of the Law & Orders combined.

YES! Finally someone says it out loud. Ugh. Do not like this show. Don't get why it lasted as long as it did.

What, you don't like thinly veiled penis jokes? Huh.

Duckie deserves better.

things I don't get:

how has Charlie Sheen not died of the clap yet? And why do people keep procreating with him?

first time commenting (hi!) I totally and completely agree. And I have personally laughed at more CSI Miami episodes, in case you were wondering.

vanessa -- run, do not walk, to Modern Family.

We just barely caught on to How I Met Your Mother, and were surprised at how much we liked it. I assumed because it came on before T1/2M it would suck just as hard. Seriously, that show just sucks so hard.

HIMYM gets even funnier the more you watch it. Lifetime's been re-running the earlier seasons and they've available On Demand, really funny.

I know why. Maybe abc counts ratings based on all the people who fly Delta who are brow-beaten into watching this show as they fly the friendly skies. I HATE that they only show abc. I'd rather stare at my tray table in the upright and locked position.

And yet....my boys think it is hilarious!
It insults my intelligence every time I am forced to watch it.
Charlie Sheen is nasty.

Never seen it.

hear! hear!

And Ice-T has some pretty good one-liners on SVU!

If 2.5 Men is the future of the American sitcom, then I will most definitely have to become an expatriate.

However, Modern Family, Parks and Rec, and 30 Rock still give me hope!

I can't come up with another way of saying I agree 100% so I'll leave it at that.

This show doesn't need any more attention!

Shows I have never watched: Two and a Half Men.

I thought it was a joke that it was the #1 show, like everyone knows that can't be a real statistic. I thought we were all in on it?

Adriel & Tierra Wakefield said...

Adriel laughs during SVU quite a bit...but he's a little morbid and disturbed.

"Honey, I'm sorry I didn't underestimate Luke enough." ~Modern Family

A MUST see. Not optional.

So, then who is watching? what's the demographic? Obviously, not us.

Shows like this make me want to break our television. The money that is spent making this show could be better spent by me.

That is how I feel about How I Met Your Mother. It was touted as the next "Friends", but it is so painful to watch. Which is why I don't.

AzĂșcar said...

Andrea, I thought the same thing, I completely didn't get "How I Met Your Mother." However, I started watching the show from the beginning, and just like "Friends", it gets funnier the more you get to know the characters. There's history and old jokes, just like "Friends." I love the inventive storytelling, moves in time, the play between the narrative and the narration, and the characters. So I'd suggest giving it another go, starting with the first season.

Oh yay! Neither do I! Plus, I flat-out don't think people as creepy as Charlie Sheen should be on a number one comedy... just, ew.

my brother and i were JUST discussing this. both men, but esp. charlie sheen, kinda creep me out.

HI there, just arrived via CJane and thanks for the funnies... Look, I'm troubles too - this show is the number one show here in AUSTRALIA too. You cannot think too hard about why that is- it hurts the heart.

Happy birthday! And my top karaoke tune is Totally Devoted To You - mid range, easy to belt impressively, interpretive dance-singing easily managed, with some power notes to really rock the room.
