Untipsy Tuesday: Beirut Sunset

A mocktail of my own creation! I named this one the Beirut Sunset because it's the perfect hot weather drink: a mix of blood orange soda and delicious pomegranate molasses from Lebanon. Check your local international market for the molasses.

Ingredients:
Ice
Water
Blood orange soda
Pomegranate Molasses

Fill a tall tumbler with ice. Add about half a glass of water and fill the rest with blood orange soda. Drizzle with pomegranate molasses. Toast to the Paris of the Middle East with this not too sweet, not too sour mocktail.

Pomegranate molasses. Something I have been intrigued by for quite some time. Many Lands?

Although I don't tell you, you should know, I love your Untipsy Tuesday posts. You are a mocktail master.

Thanks, Miss W!

It was a gift, but I'd assume you can find it at Many Lands.

Oh, and if you're thinking, what else could I do with pomegranate molasses, Serious Eats has some wicked-awesome ideas.

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I've been lurking here for a while, too chicken to comment. But I do look forward to your Untipsy Tuesday posts. I've always seen the Pomegranate Molasses in this great store called Haji Babas in Tempe, AZ (my old stompin' grounds). Perhaps I'll pick one up next time I'm there. :)
