Voice of the Year

You guys.

Remember that post I wrote last year called "I Didn't Want Children"? It won me a Voice of the Year award from BlogHer! I'm one of the Voice of the Year Honorees, and I'm kind of totally thrilled. This is the first time in ten years of blogging that I've won recognition for my writing from my peers, and I'm so grateful. A little weepy even.

VOTY Honoree

Although I won't be reading the post out loud* at the BlogHer Conference, I will be there, attending the Voice of The Year keynote in New York in August with my fellow honorees.

Thank you to all who encourage me to keep writing, to entertain you, that write me emails about the things that you've gone through, and most of all, thanks to your eyeballs that keep reading, even when the reading is sparse.

(*but since the post was originally written to be read out loud, you can totally call me, BlogHer, if anyone else cancels/has a panic attack/mysterious accident that precludes them from reading.)

Congrats! That's so awesome (but of course not surprising). :)

I'm so happy for you my friend. That is seriously exciting. Well deserved and overdue recognition IMHO.
