Apple Cider Donuts

I'm over at TodaysMama with a recipe for apple cider donuts from one of my favorite bakeries, Les Madeleines in Salt Lake City. The donuts were a huge hit at our house. Lulu helped herself to seventeen in a row, and then hide the rest around the house in case she got peckish later. I hope that they are still there in November so the mice are well fed and cozy.

Hi. I am kind of a stalker, but I am curious about this recipe. I don't have the mini-donut pans and I wanted to know if they are really worth the whole loose dough/piping thing. Because I have tried that before in making churros and crullers and it was kind of a stressful/tasty mess. But I have a really good doughnut recipe that I use, but if these are really the taste sensation then I would feel compelled to try them. I love the kouign amman (sp?) from Les Madeleines and have attempted that NUMEROUS times without clear success, so I finally gave up.

I've been waiting for this recipe since you first Instagrammed (Instagramed?) the photo. Heading over to check it out right now!

Oh, good. I'm not the only stalker. Just had to say that I don't think I've seen Lulu since the turban fabulous days in hawaii. Gorgeous.

How about I comment on every post you've ever written. That would be fun! Anyway, cider donuts are kind of my holy grail and I'm so burned by bad recipes that the last couple of years I haven't even bothered. Is your recipe good? Really good? Because I'm still hoping. My heart won't give up.
