Not THOSE kind of boy toys.
This isn't a normal giveaway. No one is sponsoring this post.
(Well, my pocketbook is sponsoring this post, but I guess that's a something, not a someone.) Read on.

My friend Miggy had a great idea: why not do a holiday giveaway, but make it a Giveaway Giveaway instead?
I'm giving away a brand new wooden crane and a brand new wooden train set.
I'm crazy for little boys, and little boys need great building toys. If you know a family who has a little boy (or two) that are in need, please, nominate them. The wooden train set is probably my favorite gift of all time, my sons spend hours arranging and rearranging the tracks. The ideal age for these is about 3-5.
Giveaway Giveaway Guidelines:
-- In keeping with the spirit of Christmas this giveaway is meant to focus on others--therefore you are to enter only in behalf of someone else. We ask that this person be someone who is in particular need this holiday season. We appreciate your honesty in this.
-- Enter by leaving a brief and vague comment about the person you are entering for and why. Something along the lines of "I'm entering for my friend who has had a rough year." Please don't be too specific!
--1 entry per person.
-- Each giveaway will be open for 2 days. We will then draw a name randomly and announce the winner at the end of the 2 days.
--Once the winner has been announced they will need to send us an email with the name and address of the person they entered for. All packages will be mailed directly to the 'person in need' and all packages will be sent anonymously.

I'm helping out with my church's secret santa program this year. We're hoping to provide some sort of Christmas to 30 children in our congregation and I'm sure one of them would love to have this.
I am entering for my cousin (mostly for her son actually). She has spent the last year trying to get back on her feet after a very hard life and this year she has made a ton of progress and I am so proud of her. I know this would make their Christmas budget stretch further.
What a cool idea. I might copy you.
I will enter for a friend's son. This little boys crappy daddy cheated on his mommy and he has had his family torn apart. After almost a year, he still asks why daddy doesn't sleep at home anymore. This poor little boy is the subject of his dad's selfish choices.
I would have this sent to a sweet family I know with a lot of kids and a little money.
My sister is about to have her first, a little boy, and things are going to be really rough for them for a while since she's the breadwinner. I know she's been worried about giving her baby what he needs, much less fun stuff, and this would be so nice!
I'm entering for my cousin who has three boys under the age of 8 in a Manhattan apartment--something for a rainy/snowy day would be great!
Perfect idea. This would be awesome for a friend of mine with 3 little sons who has been subject to a nasty bout of God's Will.
I'm entering for my friend Michelle. She and her husband spend most of their time these days up at PCH. They have twins, 18 months, a boy and a girl. Their little girl, Madison, underwent a heart transplant last Friday night at PCH and miraculously she pulled through. They have spent much time and much money on keeping this little girl alive these 18 months. Consequently, she's had no time and not a lot of extra cash this season for Christmas shopping for Madison and Cooper. I know Cooper is in need of a little extra attention these days. Mom and Dad are usually up at PCH and he's at home with babysitters. He's having a rough time and is a super sweet boy. Michelle's worried about providing a good Christmas for her kids this year and frankly doesn't have much time to go out and get things. She even asked me and some other ladies from the ward to help her with ideas for her children. I think Cooper would absolutely love this wooden truck and toy set and it would put a big smile of his precious little face and help the Hiles a lot too.
My brother and his wife have had some financial downturns this year. They've downsized to a tiny trailer and most of their belongings are in storage. Their sons would love these toys and I would love it if they could have them.
Thanks for doing this. This is the best giveaway I've ever seen.
My friend has darling little boys and could definitely use some help with Christmas presents.
(And I LOVE those toys!)
I'm entering for my friend and neighbor who has had what has to be the worst year ever.
LOVE THESE!
I am entering for my sis-in-law who went thru a nasty divorce but is still so good at making sure her 2 boys are loved and taken care of!
yes pls for my nephew?
one of my former YW is pregnant and struggling. I'd love to give these to her. Maybe he couldn't play with them for awhile though.
I have a friend with a one year old who just does hand me downs too -- so it would be nice for her to get something new!
My friends husband took out a bunch of student loans to become a police officer. He graduated from the academy just as all the departments froze hiring and he has been out of work and school for almost a year. Things are obviously tight for their two little guys this Christmas, and these would be perfect.
I forgot to send you a link to their blog, it's an amazing story.

I would like to enter for a sweet girl who is currently fighting cancer. I came across her blog through my sister-in-law. She knew that this girl had given birth to her son at 21 weeks... which just recently happened to me. She was diagnosed with cancer shortly after and has one little boy. She is so strong and such an inspiration. I would love to see her little boy get these toys after having gone through such a difficult year.
I'd like to give these toys to one of the refugee children. Most of them don't own a single toy.
I have a nephew who would just love it!!
For the kids at the Aids foundation, who are struggling with illness in themselves or in their parents, this would be a wish come true for them
I'll sign up for my nephew who was born into a house full of estrogen stimulating toys(gotta love big sisters). Daddy is in grad school, so money is tight. Bring on the testosterone!!
I'm giving this to my nephew whose mama (my sister) is a hard-working stay at home mom who could use something like this to keep her little boy occupied.
Fantastic idea. I'm entering on behalf of a family who moved into our ward this week from out west--and his job fell through as soon as they got here. They have no car, no furniture and one toy for each of the four chidren.
I was going to enter for my dear friend who I think needs it, but after reading these, geez, I really think Cooper and Madison could use this! Is it legal to "vote" for someone else?? If so, I'd like to enter on behalf of Cooper and Madison, too!
My daughter's classmate father passed away about a week before Thanksgiving... He was the only income in the house (three kids, the youngest is 2 1/2 years old) so it's a heartache to know that this Christmas will be a hard one - without a dad and some little new things to play with.
Thanks for this generous giveaway!... It will make a lot of a deal for whoever is the lucky winner.
I'm entering for my soon-to-be nephew (or neice!). They could use a jumpstart on toys!
For my cute nephew who is autistic. He loves stuff like this
Ooohh! My best friend has had a hard year with unemployment and the like. Her 4 year old would LOVE this! Thanks for your generosity.
I'm entering for a family down the road from me. I don't know them personally, but our ward is accepting donations for them. The husband lost his job a few months ago. The wife takes care of their 7year old girl and 5 year old boy. They weren't able to keep up on their bills, so their electricity was cut off. The NW has been breaking records with the low temps recently. Can you imagine not being able to provide warmth for your babes? They were using their fireplace for warmth and food and candles for light(it's dark by 4:30).
There was a fire and everything was lost. Everything. All of them were able to get out safely, but my heart is aching for them. I'd love to be able to surprise the little boy with a brand new gift.
Thank you for sharing sharing with this giveaway giveaway.
My dear friend's little boy would love that. There isn't much money for gifts this year, so this would be a welcome addition.
My sister who has Epilepsy and is expecting her first baby!
I am entering for my friend whose husband is still in school and they have no money and she just had a baby boy after having two girls and has NO, absolutely no boy toys. all pink and dolls and frilly. She really needs these.
My husband's friend lost his job the weekend before Thanksgiving. He has five children, the youngest of which are 2-yr-old twins. They would be so surprised at a little boost in their Christmas this year. Thanks!
For my friend's sister's family. She has two young boys and they cannot financially afford much of a Christmas at all this year.
I'm entering for my Aunt. Money is tight and this would be perfect for her son.
I am placing this comment in honor of my friend who has breast cancer,
her husband is out of work and they have two young sons.....
Thanks very much!
