If anyone tries to takes you to the buffet at the Flamingo, knife them in the back for they are your mortal enemy. I can't believe I had to waste those calories.

You've got to try this buffet before you leave! It's totally worth the calories!
Oh dear. Um. The Flamingo Hilton is a cesspool. A pit of despair. Please get checked for salmonella.
I worked there, many, many, MANY moons ago, as a purchasing agent. It is not good, the things they purchase.
NOT GOOD.
Hey there!! How long are you in Vegas? Is this work or pleasure? I am taking little Lu on Wednesday for a mamma trip (and we are both coming while D is at a user conference..so we are crashing at his hotel). If you are still there, can I buy you lunch at a buffet that is NOT the Flamingo? :-)
Try the breakfast buffet at the Paris hotel (can't remember what it's called--but right amongst those shops in your picture), fabulous made to order crepes.
Everyone is right. Try the breakfast or brunch buffet at the Paris. It will set things right.
Or, at least go to Luv-It's frozen custard. On the corner of Oakey and Las Vegas Blvd behind a gas station and next to a strip club. Best. custard, ever. Try the Western. Seriously...it's worth venturing into sketchy waters to try.
ditto the MGM Grand...
But the Bellagio buffet?mmmmmmm the sweet potatoes, delish!
I second Green Valley Ranch, and I am somewhat of an expert on buffets!
Do they not have a Chuck-a-grama there?
Duly noted.
I've never left a buffet without wishing I'd never laid eyes on it (Tucano's salad bar and any place that does Mongolian BBQ are the notable exceptions).
I hate buffets because I never feel like I can eat as much as I should for what they're charging me and I hate having to serve myself. Too much work for not very high quality food.
Doing a little surfing on your blog (was in the hospital last week), but had to stop and chuckle at your Flamingo buffet experience. We were there a few months ago & only went because we had a buy one/get one free coupon. Grooooody! Not even worth the half of the coupon price. GRooooos! I think I've had better emergency boy scout meals.
